I am deeply saddened by the passing of Baba Buhari, a pivotal figure who shaped my political views and those of many Nigerians right from his days as a military head of state of Nigeria, and also from his early days as a politician in the APP, ANPP, CPC, and later as the president of Nigeria under the APC.
Buhari’s enigmatic presence was always a crowd puller that defied a singular definition.
His tenure was marked by both beneficial and detrimental consequences, which also left an indelible mark on our nation.
As a military ruler and democratically elected president, Buhari served Nigeria with unequal dedication, loyalty and sacrifice.
May the almighty Allah grant his family and friends, including those Nigerians that loved him the fortitude to bear the huge lose of his passing away, and grant his soul eternal peace and mercies, and Aljana Fidausi, Amin thumma Amin.
