Though Painful is the loss of Kano to the Kwankwasiyya Group, as a Muslim and a man of very strong Imaan, I will always take solace in the belief that Allah is the giver and taker of temporal and earthly Power, and he gives it to Whomever he so pleases at a time and place of his choosing!
I would have preferred that my good friend Dr. Gawuna was the candidate announced as the winner in the keenly contested election, but that was not to be…
I will always pray for the peace, stability & progress of Kano State and Allah’s guidance to the incoming administration.
I hope and pray that they would be just and fair to the opponents and supporters alike and do what is right for the benefit of the good people of the state.
The NNPP government should rein in their most violent followers from attacking others and desist from exerting vengeance, vendetta, and hatred on their perceived enemies and the innocent but good citizens of Kano State.
